The DRYGUARDIANS
Method
The DryGuardians Method
The DryGuardians method is a clinically developed treatment for bedwetting, designed to adapt to each child’s needs over time.
At its core is the world’s only predictive treatment method for bedwetting – making it possible to understand early on whether a child is responding to treatment, and how to proceed.
Predictive from the start
After around four weeks, the method helps indicate whether the child is responding to treatment – making it easier to decide whether to continue, pause or try again later.
Individually adapted
Each child follows a personalised treatment plan that adjusts based on progress, sleep patterns and registered events.
Clinically developed
Developed in close collaboration with Professor Tryggve Nevéus, Uppsala University Hospital – one of the world’s leading experts in bedwetting.
Clinically proven
The method is based on established clinical principles and supported by studies within paediatric continence care.
HOW IT WORKS
Designed for dry nights
The DryGuardians method combines connected products with an app-based treatment plan – all designed to support the child step by step toward dry nights.
The DryGuardians App
The app is installed on the parent’s phone and serves as the centre of the treatment. Through the app, parents gain access to guidance, practical advice and an individual treatment plan that continuously adapts.
Sensor
Sensors are attached to the underwear and help detect moisture during sleep and initiate treatment response.
Alarms & Smart Devices
Help wake and guide the child at the right moment. The child wakes up and goes to the toilet to empty the bladder. Parents also receive the alarm via the app, allowing them to support and guide the child if needed. Over time, this helps train the child to wake up to the body’s own signals.
Treatment Underwear
Underwear and sleepwear provide comfort and protection when needed. Integrated sensor threads cover a larger area, allowing moisture to be detected quickly – even if the child moves during sleep.
“Which products to use depends on the child’s age, sleep depth and individual needs. All options follow the same DryGuardians method – the difference lies in the level of guidance, automation and support.”
COMMENTS FROM NURSES
Clinical studies behind the DryGuardians method
DryGuardians is based on clinical research carried out in collaboration with paediatric specialists and university hospitals.
Improving the efficacy of enuresis alarm treatment through early prediction of treatment outcome: a machine learning approach
- Treatment outcome can be predicted accurately in early stages.
- Enables correct measures like motivation adjustment or pharmacotherapy earlier.
- Potential to shorten evaluation time significantly.

Predictors of response and adherence to enuresis alarm therapy—a confirmatory study
Bergsten A, et al.
A study on 1,530 subjects looking for predictors to response and adherence while exploring independent therapy management.
- Daytime incontinence is not a contraindication for alarm therapy.
- Success can be predicted after just 4 weeks of therapy.
- Adherence is enhanced by nurse support, but independent success is possible.

Can enuresis alarm therapy be managed by the families without the support of a nurse? A prospective study
Larsson J, et al.
Comparison of nurse-supported children vs. families using the alarm and app independently.
- Independent success rates are equal to nurse-supported rates for adherent families.
- The app effectively records enuretic events and provides instructions.
- Nurses role is primarily encouragement to prevent premature dropout..

The value of case history and early treatment data as predictors of enuresis alarm therapy response
Larsson J, et al.
Examined 196 children to find clear predictors of response in a real-world setting.
KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Responders show decreased enuresis frequency by week 2.
- Incomplete adherence in the first weeks predicts failure to complete treatment.
- Recommends reassessing strategy after one month to avoid frustration.
The goal is not just dry nights – but a treatment that feels safe, structured and supportive for both child and parent.
DRYGUARDIANS PORTAL FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
HOW IT WORKS
1. ACCESS THE DRYGUARDIANS PORTAL
We onboard your clinic and connect your patients.
The easy-to-use platform lets you follow all patients using bedwetting alarms linked to the DryGuardians App.
2. GET AN OVERVIEW OF PATIENTS
See all active patients in one place. Track progress and quickly identify who needs extra support.
3. REAL-TIME TREATMENT OVERVIEW
Use the calendar view to see nightly data and patterns. Follow progress and spot changes as soon as they happen.
4. DIRECT MESSAGING FUNCTIONALITY
Communicate securely with patients through the portal. Your messages appear directly in the DryGuardians App – ensuring clear and efficient contact.
5. TREATMENT ANALYSIS
Access automatic data summaries and personalized insights. The system helps you understand each patient’s progress and predict future outcomes – making it easier to plan resources and guide treatment.
PJAMA IN RESEARCH!
COLLABORATION WITH SWEDISH HEALTHCARE
Pjama and the Pjama DryGuardians system are part of an ongoing national project together with Swedish healthcare, researchers, and specialists in enuresis.
The goal: to improve treatment methods and discover new factors that predict which type of care leads to the best results.
Today, more than 50 hospitals across Sweden use Pjama DryGuardians to support patients in active bedwetting treatment.
