ALARM FUNCTION IN THE APP

You can use the speaker or the phone individually or both together. It’s a matter of budget and personal preference.

Bedwetting is often linked to deep sleep. Research has shown that children are more likely to wake up to the sound of their parents voices. With the DryGuardians app, you have the option to record your own alarm on your phone and use it as an alarm. The app can be used with all Pjama products.

The DryGuardians app alarm can also be set to vibrate, providing discreet feedback, for instance, when sleeping away from home.

Pjama BEDWETTING ALARM

TWO TYPES OF HIGH-QUALITY ALARMS

One of the most common treatment methods to cure bedwetting is to use a bedwetting alarm. The majority of patients treated this way achieve successful results and stop wetting the bed. Pjama’s bedwetting alarms are high quality and have taken several years to develop.

Pjama is proud to offer two types of bedwetting alarms:

    TEST BEFORE YOU START!

    INVOLVE YOUR CHILD

Make sure to test the alarm before using it for the first time. Let your child participate in choosing an alarm signal. Then test the alarm to teach your child what to do and expect when the alarm goes off.

By conducting the treatment every night, the child subconsciously learns to associate peeing the bed with the alarm, the unpleasant feeling of being wet/having to pee, and the need to get up and go to the toilet.

Don’t forget to download the DryGuardians app from Google Play or the App Store to log your child’s progress and get tips and advice along the way.

    WHEN THE ALARM IS ACTIVATED

    HOW TO PROCEED:

Regardless of which Pjama Bedwetting Alarm you use, follow these steps when the alarm is activated:

    1. Press the “ON/OFF” button to silence the alarm. To turn off the alarm completely, hold the “ON/OFF” button for about 3 seconds.
    2. Go to the toilet and finish urinating. Remove the sensor from the wet garment immediately. If only the Pjama speaker is silenced, this prevents the sound unit from being reactivated. Removing the sensor directly also saves its battery life.
    3. Wipe off the sensor if it gets wet.

    PJAMA BEDWETTING ALARM

TO BE USED WITH PJAMA TREATMENT PANTS, SHORTS, AND UNDERWEAR

This product consists of two components: a sensor and an alarm unit (bedwetting alarm). This bedwetting alarm is used together with Pjama treatment pants/shorts/underwear, providing a larger surface area for a quick and secure response.

Simply attach the sensor to the waistband at the front of the treatment pants and start the bedwetting alarm. Place the bedwetting alarm within 10 meters of the child. If the child pees the bed, the built-in sensor threads in the pants will react quickly and activate the bedwetting alarm. The child can easily turn off the alarm by pressing the “ON/OFF” button, go to the toilet, and change into a new pair of Pjama treatment pants.

Note: As a parent, you may sometimes need to help wake the child. It’s not uncommon for children to be deep sleepers and not wake up to the alarm at the start of the treatment.

To increase the chances of a successful treatment, it’s helpful if both the child and the parent receive guidance and motivation along the way. We encourage you to download the DryGuardians app to access a calendar for logging progress, as well as general and personalized tips and advice based on this. The app also functions as an extra alarm unit and allows you to set daily alarms for those who suffer from daytime wetting.

    USING PJAMA TREATMENT GARMENTS

Make sure you have the right size. Pjama should fit snugly around the waist (without being too tight). Check our size guide before ordering your Pjama treatment pants/shorts or treatment underwear.

      • Involve your child in the preparation process so they understand what happens when wetting the bed.
      • Choose an alarm signal and volume on your alarm unit.
      • Download the DryGuardians app and connect it to the parent’s smartphone. The parent will receive a notification if the child wets the bed.

    TREATMENT PANTS AND SHORTS

The product absorbs liquid and keeps the bed dry if the child wets the bed. It also has built-in sensor threads to which the sensor is connected.

    • Attach the sensor to the garment at the inside waistband.
    • If the alarm is activated, wake your child and take them to the bathroom. It is important that the child wakes up.
    • Remove the sensor, turn the pants/shorts inside out, and wash them according to the instructions.

    • Remove the sensor and wash the underwear according to the instructions.

    PJAMA CONNECT BEDWETTING ALARM

STANDALONE SENSOR CONNECTED TO YOUR SMARTPHONE

This modern product consists of ONE component, a sensor. The sensor, together with your smartphone, functions as a complete bedwetting alarm. By connecting the sensor to the DryGuardians app on your smartphone, the phone acts as a sound unit that rings when urination occurs. The app can be downloaded for free via Google Play or the App Store.

Place the sensor in your underwear or diaper. When the sensor comes into contact with urine, it reacts quickly and activates an alarm on your smartphone. Turn off the alarm, go to the bathroom, finish urinating, rinse the sensor lightly, wipe it off, and go back to bed. Note: Parents may need to help wake the child, especially at the beginning of the treatment.

The DryGuardians app includes several features: access to the alarm function, a calendar to log daily progress, general tips and advice, and personalized suggestions to optimize your treatment. You can also set daily alarms for those who suffer from daytime wetting.
